Crafty Classes Comin' Up!
Early 2012 brings two classes that provide you some time to explore peace and peacefulness--I am teaching at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lansing, 855 Grove Street, East Lansing (across the street from the East Lansing Public Library on Abbot). Church membership is not required for participation--join me and have some fun this winter!

ART FULL PEACE
$20 class fee due by January 21st
SESSION 1/Imagine Peace—What does inner peace mean to you? What brings peacefulness and tranquility into your life? Participants will use collage to visualize their personal definition of inner peace. No previous art experience necessary and all supplies are provided.
SESSION 2/Peace Full Art---What is your dream of peace for others? How does peace affect your universal community? Instructor will briefly discuss the peace symbol and its origin. Participants will utilize recycled materials and mixed media to create their own peace sign.

MAKE A MANDALA

A mandala can be used as a way to center meditatively, achieving focus, reflection or peacefulness. We will use simple art techniques to create our own mandalas, based upon a circular design. Circles appear in nature - planets, flowers, eyeballs, cells, snowflakes. Let us make a mandala that represents an aspect of our personal nature and/or spirit. Supplies and instruction provided.
