Thank you to the State of Michigan!

I am the lucky recipient of a Professional Development grant ($950.00) from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs! The grant will help support my participation in a 2016 quilt workshop with Gwen Marston, (http://www.gwenmarston.com/). I will be going to the Madeline Island School of the Arts (http://www.madelineartschool.com/) and I am SO EXCITED!!

Gwen is on the left with her quilts behind her.

Detroit News Event on October 14th

I enjoyed a fantastic afternoon at the Detroit News with Jocelynn Brown and her Handmade: 2nd Detroit News Stitch-Together!  She invited 15 yarnies to join her for an afternoon of sharing patterns, projects and ideas----as well as donuts and coffee.  It was great! Stitch-Together  I hope that Jocelynn and the News can host another fun event like this soon!

November Issue is a Must See!

Check out the new issue of "Cloth Paper Scissors"! on pages 76 &77!! My garland of zinnia photos is there--zinnias always remind me of my Mom.

YES, OK, the other garlands are creative and imaginative too...

Word for Today
